Rio Airport Transfer acts as an agent on behalf of transfer providers in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Please read the booking terms and conditions carefully, they apply to all bookings made with Rio Airport Transfer and each individual member of your party.
1. Your Contract
When you book transfers via the internet, your booking will be confirmed within 2 hours and it is at this time a binding contract comes into existence, email confirmation of your booking will be sent to you and a voucher will follow once full payment has been taken.
The contract is subject to these booking terms and conditions, all booking conditions will apply to each and every booking made with Rio Airport Transfer.
Once the contract is made, it is the transfer providers' responsibility to provide you with what you have booked and it is your responsibility to pay for the service in full before you travel.
All relevant documentation will be sent to you via email, it is important to check carefully all the details of your booking once you receive it. Rio Airport Transfer will not be responsible for any information you do not receive as a result of your failure to provide a valid e-mail address.
If you want to cancel or amend your booking later, you may have to pay cancellation or amendment fees.
2. Unconfirmed bookings
In certain instances the transfer provider may be unable to confirm your booking; in this case Rio Airport Transfer reserve the right to cancel and refund in full any bookings affected.
3. Pricing
Prices are quoted in the currency you choose. We reserve the right to change prices at any time before you book.
Payment is required at the time of booking unless agreed otherwise by both parties.
4. Our Price Guarantee
We do change prices from time to time. Prices can go down as well as up and you will be able to determine your up to date price for your chosen transfer prior to confirming your booking.
We guarantee that once you have made your booking we will not increase the price of your transfer - this includes any changes to VAT or Government Taxes.
Please note once you have agreed a price and made your booking this is the price you pay. If the price decreases, you are not entitled to the transfer service at the changed rate.
5. If I Want To Change My Booking?
If you wish to amend your transfer details, including arrival date and / or time, destination, pick up details, you may do this by logging on to Rio Airport Transfer using the information provided on your confirmation email.
All amendments to the transfer service must be made prior to travel. **
** Under certain circumstances, Rio Airport Transfer do appreciate a number of factors may be out of the clients control and therefore such amendments will be dealt with according to the transfer providers discretion.
6. Cancellation and Refund Policy
In the event you wish to cancel your transfer arrangements we require email confirmation from the lead passenger. Charges are based on the total cost of the booking and are as follows:

Please note once you have agreed a price and made your booking this is the price you pay. If the price decreases, you are not entitled to the transfer service at the changed rate.
7. If We Change Your Booking
In some instances the transfer provider may alter or cancel your booking, in such circumstances we will inform you immediately.
Please note neither the transfer provider or Rio Airport Transfer are responsible for any additional costs incurred as a result of this, nor will they be obliged to pay compensation.
8. Our Responsibility
As Rio Airport Transfer is acting only as a booking agent we have no liability for any of the transfer arrangements and in particular any liability for any illness, personal injury, death or loss of any kind, unless caused by our negligence.
Vehicles are fully insured as required under Brazilian law. However, whilst every care is always taken, customers' property is carried entirely at their own risk and no responsibility can be accepted for loss or damage. Customers are therefore advised to check their own travel insurance.
Any claim for damages for injury, illness or death arising from your journey must be brought against the transfer provider and will be under the jurisdiction of the law of Brazil.
Please note the transfer provider will always aim to drop and/or collect you as close to your accommodation as possible. In some instances it may not always be possible for the vehicle to take you onto the premises due to circumstances outside of the transfer provider’s control.
9. Your Responsibility
Both Rio Airport Transfer and the transfer provider accept no responsibility for transfer services not received as a result of incorrect information provided at the time of booking.
Upon making your booking please follow the set dates and times as shown on your flight details, this will prevent confusion which may be caused by early morning flights.
It is also your responsibility to have valid travel documents. If we or your carrier are fined as a result of you holding incorrect documents, we will ask you to pay this amount.
It is a condition of booking with us that you have sufficient travel insurance for your reservation.
10. Special Requests
The transfer provider will always make every effort to meet your requests; however, please note they cannot be guaranteed. The transfer provider has no obligation to supply compensation in such instances.
11. Late Arrivals
Rio Airport Transfer and the transfer provider will always endeavor to make sure that your transfer service is provided, even when flights are delayed, or are affected by circumstances outside of your control.
However, please be aware that it is your responsibility to make Rio Airport Transfer aware of any delays; it is not always possible to predict and/ or obtain information with regard to such instances. As a result neither Rio Airport Transfer nor the transfer provider accepts responsibility for missed transfer services due to delayed, postponed, or other problems affecting flights.
In the event a return flight is missed owing to a delay with the transfer service which is out of the transfer provider’s control, they will not be responsible for any additional costs incurred nor will compensation be due.
12. Misbehavior
We reserve the right to terminate without notice the arrangements of any customer whose behavior, in our opinion, is likely to cause annoyance, distress or danger to other customers or any third party. If you are prevented from traveling because you appear to any person in authority to be unfit to travel, or likely to cause discomfort or disturbance to other passengers, our responsibility for your transfer will cease. Full charges will apply and we will be under no obligation to provide a refund, compensation, or any further assistance.
13. Indemnity
When you book a transfer service through Rio Airport Transfer you accept responsibility for any damage to the transfer vehicle caused by you or a member of your party.
The transfer provider reserves the right to terminate the service booked or that of any member of your party due to your or their misconduct, within their reasonable opinion.
In these circumstances full cancellation charges will then apply and no refund will be given. Furthermore, the transfer provider shall be under no obligation to pay compensation or meet any costs or expenses you may incur as a result of the service being terminated.
You agree to indemnify us against any claims (including legal costs) made against us or on behalf of the transfer provider. Finally you are also liable to make a reimbursement to the transfer provider for any damage caused, before you return home.
14. Disputes
In the event of any dispute our liability shall not exceed the charge for the transfer service provided. Any litigation will be subject to English Law.
15. Complaints Procedure
If you experience problems with your transfer service whilst in Rio de Janeiro, you must immediately contact Rio Airport Transfer or call the transfer provider on the contact number shown on your transfer voucher in order to enable us to have the opportunity to resolve the problem.
In the event that the matter was not rectified sufficiently you must put your complaint in writing to our Customer Relations Department within 14 days of return of travel. Please note if you submit your complaint later than 14 days of your return, it will not be accepted and the matter will not be investigated.
Once the Customer Relations Department receives your complaint, they will acknowledge it, the matter will be investigated and you will receive a full written response within 28 days. (Please note the 28 days start from the date of the acknowledgment)
If you incur additional expenses and you feel these should be paid by Rio Airport Transfer, we will only consider claims when full invoices or receipts for those expenses are produced. Please note production of these invoices or receipts does not automatically mean we will cover those expenses.
